the trees have eyes

closeuptreeeye1.jpg

I miss my trees. Well, they weren’t just mine, but I knew they 1-treeeye.jpgwere there and they knew I was there. It seemed they called to me, across the path, around the corner, I could feel them watching. How else would I find them? I could turn  directly to them. You’ve had that feeling before. The trees have eyes. Not the cutesy little clay ones you can nail into the side of trees to create a face. Real eyes. greeneye.jpgWe all know trees have eyes, but we tend to think of them as just a physical protrusion on the bark, a wound from where a branch once grew. Aspens are notorious for eyes. But I don’t live that far west. Once you notice tree eyes, and become aware of them, you’ll see more of them…that little cycle where you see, then you’ll become more aware, and you’ll see more, and become more aware. Not only do the trees have eyes, but if you listen really close, you’ll hear them speak. Talking trees? Why sure. There are even instances in the Bible where trees speak? Did you know that? Here are a few instances:

Jdg 9:12 Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, [and] reign over us.
1Ch 16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

If you look, you can find more. If you listen you can hear more. I am glad spring is coming soon, so I can see how many eyes await me at Clifty Falls State Park, (take a vitual tour), and places beyond. Maybe I can visit some of my old trees in Cincinnati again soon, too. That really would be nice.

Remember from Paint Your Wagon, “I talk to the trees, but they don’t listen to me. I talk to the stars, but they never hear me…” Young Clint Eastwood made a descent attempt at singing the song. I suppose seeing the eyes and talking to the trees are two vastly different things - or are they? ;)

I’ll not tell…I guess folks will have to find out on their own. Some can’t see the forests for the trees. ;)

Dont' stop with one post! This is one of those blogs where you need to go back a few entries in order to connect some of the anagrams, comics, or collages, as is often the case of art imitating life. Some of the anagrams are outstanding coincidences of that which occurs in daily life. Give it a try!

Why I'm here...

A friend told me I should blog here. I use Cosmic Bubbles to make a connection between an inner and outer world, where comics anagram to a functional place in my life. I write in nexus form, (at least that is what I call it) because one thing builds on another generally. I am led to use my senses in ways most people might not, because I am aware of a natural presence, I guess I should say. I talk to God, Jesus, ET, the Big Guy, "them." Some may now say, OK, let's move on, find another blog, this woman is just nuts (something I may have said a few years back myself). But you might not...you might just find something else a little eerie, a little fun, spooky maybe in an Einsteinian way. Tying anagrams to daily life or a continuing series of concepts may just give you another perspective, allowing you to become a bit more aware of yourself in the scheme of things. It is always better to go back a few posts because one post alone doesn't really tell you what is going on here. What does go on is a connection, where sometimes I write a thought and I hear something on TV to clarify the thought I just had. Yes, I believe thoughts are real things, they manifest in ways I did not know about until the past couple of years. I used concrete examples, documenting as best I can as things occur, so people can see the synchronicity of the moment, the coincidence as it were, if you believe things are so random. Well, I believe all things are possible, and I show that every day in some small way.
