He changes channels on the TV and I hear, “I believe that there are still mysteries…” and the channel changes again. I am in flow.
We only get WFPK (Louisville) over the net unfortunately. I started my day with the Indio/Gordon Peterson song “Hard Sun” as sung by Eddie Vedder. The song is on the songtrack for the movie, Into the Wild (1996) about the adventures of Christopher McCandless who was found in Denali a couple of weeks after his death on his Alaskan adventure. Tragic story but what a legacy the young man left behind. More on that…“Happiness is only real when shared”, a McCandless quote.
The internet brings me the next song…
You took hold of my affections
With your Bible and your sword
Your celebrity connections
I was not used to keeping score.
From your fine guilded chalice
I drank all your cheap red wine
It was a good place to be Judas (Judas)
Hiding pearls from the swine
I’ll bring the sun (Jason Collett).
Idon’t think I’ve heard that song before, but without my millenials around all the time, I don’t know the top 100. I need more music in my life. I turned the music off and did a little research for that which I just wrote. The beau changes channels a lot, and it was cacophonic to have the music going at the same time as the TV, in the same room, plus with finding the right video from the aforementioned movie…too much. The beau has settled on the BBC show How Clean is Your House. At the moment, mine isn’t that clean, but I cannot imagine homes as bad as the places they go into on that show. Eew!
I have only just begun my computer connection for the day. I have not looked at a single comic strip yet and it’s already near 11 AM. My hours are really off with the time change. Seems I am usually off two hours on the body clock, rather than the one hour that the clock says. It has always been that way.
The sky brightens a bit, but the sun does not yet break through the clouds. It is time to change gears. At some point I need to go to the store.
The next channel flip brings, “I’ll stop the world and melt with you.
You’ve seen the difference and it’s getting better all the time.”

“I believe that there are still mysteries…”
The real mystery is inside, not outside.
