rain and brain

The brain in a jar routine is throughout today’s comic collage, even a brain in a jar cartoon. I have days when I feel like I am just that, a brain in a jar, aware of the circumstance with nothing else to do but challenge the machine. You can only hope the “programmer” has a sense of humor and makes life interesting. What do you suppose happens when a brain in a jar realizes it is just that, a brain in a jar? Maybe we are all just brains-in-jars, matrix-like creatures who only think they have bodies. Well, you would think ”they” could have picked a better one for my virtual world!!!

While I was in the middle of the collage today two things occurred. The Today show was on, and there was a segment on about the Healthy Brain. I noticed as I pasted the cartoon about the brain in the jar into the collage that one of the women said, “There are things you can do to stimulate your brain…”  I was then interrupted a few minutes and went back to looking at cartoons. I put the collage and post aside a while then came back.

Once again I was interrupted by a knock at the front door. Rather than standing in the door with it open, I closed it behind me to keep the dogs in and went on the porch. A little different than my normal mode of operation, this was not someone I knew. The man at the door said he was with the water company, he was all dressed in blue clothing, and said they were working on the water on the street below me, that I needed to check to see if the cold water still worked. Hmmm, so I closed the door, leaving the dog to bark in the living room. I checked the water at the sink and told the man it was fine. He said there had been a leak, he had a hole he needed to fill in but wanted to check first to make sure I still had water before filling in the hole.

So I put a reference to the water man in the collage. There is also a cartoon reference to the brain in the jar having lost water, which I thought interesting in how things related. There was a bit of a time difference between the two things that happened, as is sometimes the case in my getting a complete collage. I also did an anagram which came up with the water man being at the door, from the text, “The authorities shouldbe made aware of this situation,”  which anagrammed to, “Is that a water man outside the house? If so, I hear to build.” I also read it as, “Water man had holes bust outside…I hear it too, I use faith.”

The collage is one of those I probably SHOULD have written out the text to, but won’t. It does flow well, don’t you think? Speaking of flow, it is raining again. I have laundry hanging all over the inside of the house because it was partially dry on the line and I just didn’t want to wait another three days before I had clean underwear. There are times I really miss having my dryer. Someday I may be able to plug it in again. A segue to another…

My neighbor, who has a greenhouse in his yard this year, gave me a couple of tomato plants plugs today. I am grateful since the seeds we planted did nothing. He said two of them were red and one is yellow. With reflux problems I haven’t thought much about tomatoes this year, but I am happy to have tomato plants ready-to-plant. He wouldn’t let me pay him for them. I planted some coriander seeds today and some green and purple ruffles basil seeds. We also have some artichoke seeds which we aren’t sure about, but will try to find a place where we can plant them and not disturb them while we are waiting to see if they grow. It’s kinda’ late to put seeds in, but still worth a try. Basil will grow fine from seed. The sage is blooming now, beautiful lavender blossoms and the spearmint to trying to get out of the pot I planted in the ground to keep it contained. I would like to buy a rosemary plant, if I ever get out of the house and up the hill with a couple of dollars to spare. The one I bought last year did not winter over inside the house. I love the scent of rosemary. The fragrance of remembrance. Ah yes…

It’s cold and dark in the house again with the rain. I need more solar days, Lord. It’s hard to live like this.

Dont' stop with one post! This is one of those blogs where you need to go back a few entries in order to connect some of the anagrams, comics, or collages, as is often the case of art imitating life. Some of the anagrams are outstanding coincidences of that which occurs in daily life. Give it a try!

Why I'm here...

A friend told me I should blog here. I use Cosmic Bubbles to make a connection between an inner and outer world, where comics anagram to a functional place in my life. I write in nexus form, (at least that is what I call it) because one thing builds on another generally. I am led to use my senses in ways most people might not, because I am aware of a natural presence, I guess I should say. I talk to God, Jesus, ET, the Big Guy, "them." Some may now say, OK, let's move on, find another blog, this woman is just nuts (something I may have said a few years back myself). But you might not...you might just find something else a little eerie, a little fun, spooky maybe in an Einsteinian way. Tying anagrams to daily life or a continuing series of concepts may just give you another perspective, allowing you to become a bit more aware of yourself in the scheme of things. It is always better to go back a few posts because one post alone doesn't really tell you what is going on here. What does go on is a connection, where sometimes I write a thought and I hear something on TV to clarify the thought I just had. Yes, I believe thoughts are real things, they manifest in ways I did not know about until the past couple of years. I used concrete examples, documenting as best I can as things occur, so people can see the synchronicity of the moment, the coincidence as it were, if you believe things are so random. Well, I believe all things are possible, and I show that every day in some small way.
